Let's turn your science into a story.
Research has maximal impact when the audience understands where the data fits in the broader field, what the work implies, and why it matters.
I combine my research experience with my communication skills to help scientists turn their science into stories that will resonate with readers, giving them more time to unravel biology’s most pressing questions.
About Me
I spent seven years studying neurodegeneration at some of the country’s premier research institutions – Massachusetts General Hospital, Washington University in St. Louis, and Johns Hopkins University, where I earned my PhD in neuroscience. I published nine peer-reviewed publications, was awarded a grant from the National Science Foundation, and presented posters at multiple international conferences. But while I enjoyed my time at the bench, I found that my strength was in communicating science rather than conducting it.
I established a free editing network at Johns Hopkins and oversaw the editing of over 100 manuscripts, grants, reviews, book chapters, and other technical documents. In my free time, I launched an international podcast and became a freelance science writer. I also earned a Medical Writing Essential Skills certification from the American Medical Writers Association, where I am a member.
